"Sky!!!" Chris shouted as he witnessed Sky fallen out from the hatch, he tried to save him with some protection magic but is horrified to found out that his magic force is totally nulled. They could do nothing but watching Sky fall and disappeared into the thick cloud and mist. Chris is shocked by that sudden and unexpected incident but immediately regained his composure. He turned to Junior with serious look.
"Junior, from your experience, is it possible to do an emergency landing at a place like this? Or perhaps at least go down a bit passing through these thick clouds?" Chris asked. "Yes, it is possible, but I would not recommend it. It's too risky." said Junior. "Tell me the risk." said Chris, in a serious tone. Junior nodded before switched to another radar that shown the geographic condition of the area below them...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the great fall, Sky is lying unconsciously on a slightly deserted area, his left forearm is cover in blood and seems to be bending at a really weird angle, had probably broken, other than that, there are several bruises and minor injuries all over his body, and his fast self recovery doesn't seem to be working well. After a while, Sky strenuously opened his eyes, from the corner of his eyes, he saw the giant wyvern's dead body, badly charred, lying at about ten meters away from him. A few metres away from the dead body is a very tall and steep mountain wall that doesn't seem to have an end to it. After observing that 'mountain wall' for about a minute, Sky noticed that the 'mountain wall' is not just any ordinary mountains but a ring of stone wall that surround a whole area that has a diameter of more that twenty miles. While from the steepness of the stone wall and the temperature of the place, it doesn't seem to be a crater. Sky gazed at the stone wall for another few seconds and finally realised that he might be actually inside some sort of gigantic sink hole. Upon that realization, he immediately forced himself up despite of injuries and pain on his body.
He looked around his surroundings while recalling how did he survived that fall. Just when Sky been pushed out from the aircraft, he immediately activated some basic floating magic which worked at first but weakened drastically all of the sudden. Despite of being weakened, the floating magic does successfully slower down the speed of the fall thus prevented even more serious damages aside from the broken arm.
Sky strenuously stood up and dragged himself towards the dead body of the wyvern. He examined the dead body from all angles in detail, he soon found out about some extraordinary things about that wyvern aside from its abnormally huge body build. First, he found a long and slender handprint on the wyvern's neck, the handprint itself is quite unusual enough, to make it even weirder it's a distinctive red handprint on the neck area which is fully charred. Next, is a small area of the wyvern's left hind leg where all the scales are missing, leaving a small patch of skinless flesh, and obviously this is a new injury, as the bare flesh area had pretty much dried up.
After briefly collected some tissue samples from the wyvern, Sky tried to summon Seiryu to get him out from the crater but to his shock, he can't feel a single bit of his own magic. Sky sighed and decided to walk away from that area and find if there is any other people nearby to enable him to sort out all the weird things and situation he is facing. He found a gigantic rock and climbed on it to get a better view, from the top of that rock, he surprisingly saw a small town a few kilometres away from his spot.
Despite feeling suspicious about the existence of a small town inside of a sinkhole, Sky's instincts tells him that he need to check out that place and it probably has something to do with all unexplainable weird occurances that just happened in him all at once...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, in the aircraft.
"Is that a sinkhole? Since when there is sinkhole over this area? Why didn't I know anything about that?" Chris asked, slightly confused and curious. "Yes, it is indeed a sinkhole. And it's actually a sinkhole that is newly formed about a few thousand years ago when my grandpa was still a kid... If based on your Dimension's time, it's like eighty years ago." said Junior. "I see... But eighty years ago is certainly not very recent, I should have pay more attention to Kapis." said Chris.
"However, this is not just any ordinary sink hole. Its depth will increase by one to three centimetres every month. And just like it's formation, no one knows the reason. Another weird thing about it is that any people or creatures that tried to get near to it with get 'sucken' into it and gone missing. No one dare or able to explore that sinkhole especially with all these thick mist around it, so, no one knows the real situation in there. Tsk... I am pretty sure I had avoided this area in my auto pilot route..." said Junior as he frantically checking on the autopilot system trying to find what is wrong about it.
"Well, I believe you had done your best to ensure the safety of everyone onboard. But this is not something anyone can predicted. You know, that God of Misfortune. But seriously, the extreme magic press of this area is something really concerning and troublesome." said Chris with a shrug. Then he turned to Seito and Itsuki who are also observing the radar map, Chris gaze at them, with thoughtful look...
